Signed, Sealed, and Disqualified: VA’s Quiet Betrayal of the People Who Fought for It

⚠️ SATIRE DISCLAIMER (VA Edition—Now With Extra Bullshit & Betrayal)

This is a fictional rant in the unmistakable voice of George Carlin. If you think denying veterans care because they're Democrats or single is righteous—meet your moral bankruptcy. And maybe grab a tissue for your spine.

So let me get this straight.

You fought the wars. You lost friends. You came home broken—and now you're supposed to hand over your political allegiance or prove you're hitched before you get a doctor?

Because in Trump’s VA, personal beliefs and marital paperwork count more than your service.

They’ll say, “Oh, no, no, we’re not denying anyone care.”

Right. Not unless they check the wrong box. Not unless they vote the wrong way. Not unless they believe in unions, or speak out, or show up without a wedding ring.

Doctors at the moment of triage can now screen you:

“So… you vote Democrat? You single?”

 “Yes?”

Click.

“Sorry, try the walk-in at the unemployment office.”

They passed it off like it’s a formality. Just a little internal policy cleanup. Nobody’s really turned anyone away. Yet. But the door’s wide open. And behind it? A room full of shredded rights.

Hospitals can now fire—or refuse to hire—doctors based on their union membership or political affiliation. Think about that. Your surgeon isn’t judged by skill, but by who they retweet. You could be bleeding out while they check his voter registration.

So now marriage is health insurance. And politics is triage criteria.

And the logic? “We’re just following orders!”

Which is exactly what they said in Nuremberg.

They stripped out “politics” and “marital status” from protections like they were raisins in a cookie. No more safeguards. No more equality. Just a new bureaucratic weapon for people who think compassion is weakness and bias is governance.

Imagine being a veteran with PTSD, finally working up the courage to ask for help—only to hear, “So... Biden or Trump?”

Imagine a single veteran in crisis, told he’s not “family-oriented” enough to deserve treatment.

 That’s not a clinic. That’s a hiring bingo board. That’s a loyalty test with a stethoscope.

And what does this mean?

Ethical collapse—doctors forced to police beliefs, not just blood.

Legal jeopardy—equal protection? anti-discrimination? Tell that to an angry judge.

Veteran betrayal—the people who defended this country now need to defend their right to care.

But sure, keep calling it policy.

Keep pretending it’s about streamlining, or “alignment with federal norms.”

Because once you normalize this kind of cruelty, the rest gets easier.

Soon it’s not just care—it’s education, housing, jobs, justice.

They’ll ask for your loyalty in everything.

And if you don’t give it, you don’t get in.

This isn't healthcare reform.

It's political litmus tests in scrubs.

 A tool of power.

 A move of cruelty.

If you think persuasion or argument can fix this—

I’ve got news:

Once you weaponize medicine like this, compassion is gone.

 And trust?

That dies faster than a single torn-off VA form.
