⚠️ SATIRE DISCLAIMER (Now with Extra Accountability):
This is a fictional rant in the unmistakable voice of George Carlin, written as political satire. If you think taking responsibility is overrated, this one's for you.
George on stage, spotlight hot, eyes blazing with that familiar mix of fury and amusement:
So, here's a twist in the never-ending saga of the January 6th circus. Pamela Hemphill, a 71-year-old former Trump supporter from Idaho—nicknamed "MAGA Granny"—decided to do something radical: take responsibility for her actions.
She was there on January 6th, got caught up in the madness, pleaded guilty, served her 60 days, and then—get this—when Trump offered her a pardon, she said, "No thanks." That's right, she told the Orange Overlord to shove it.
Why? Because, in her words, "We were wrong that day, we broke the law—there should be no pardons." She saw through the gaslighting, the propaganda, the whole "weaponized DOJ" narrative. She recognized it for what it was: a load of crap.
And now, while other insurrectionists are celebrating their get-out-of-jail-free cards, Hemphill is standing tall, saying, "I did the crime, I did the time, and I won't be part of your revisionist history."
That's integrity. That's accountability. That's something we rarely see these days, especially from those who stormed the Capitol and then cried foul when faced with consequences.
So, here's to Pamela Hemphill, the "MAGA Granny" who broke free from the cult and found her conscience. May her story inspire others to do the same.
George out. And remember: It's never too late to wake up and smell the bullshit.
